Why Airblade technology™ is better
The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is the fastest hand dryer – it cleans the air before blowing it onto hands, so it’s hygienic too. It also uses up to 80% less energy than warm air hand dryers. It's more cost efficient than paper towels and creates less waste that ends up in landfill.

Fastest
Some warm air hand dryers take up to 43 seconds to dry hands. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer works in just 10 seconds – with 400mph sheets of air literally scraping hands dry.

Hygienic
The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is fitted with a HEPA filter – a pleated 600,000mm2 membrane impregnated with anti-microbial additives. It captures and eliminates 99.9% of bacteria from the air used to dry hands. It's the only hand dryer that's certified hygienic by independent public health specialist NSF International.

Costs less to run
A faster dry time and no energy-hungry heating element means the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer costs up to 80% less to run than warm air hand dryers and up to 97% less than paper towels*.
Calculations based on 200 uses per day for 12 months, 2 paper towels per dry, an average cost of £0.1 per paper towel and an electricity charge of £0.1194 per kWh.

Lower carbon footprint
Warm air hand dryers use outdated, inefficient technology and typically require up to 2,400W of power. Airblade™ technology consumes just 1,600W and works in just 10 seconds. So it uses up to 80% less energy than warm air dryers.
Paper towels need constant restocking, which is carbon intensive and requires natural resources. Paper towels also create waste that ends up in landfill or has to be incinerated.
The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is the only hand dryer to be awarded the Carbon Reduction Label from the Carbon Trust. Dyson is committed to reducing its carbon footprint further by 2012.
